Here’s a transcript of last night’s debate.
If I get time, there’s a number of points I’d like to break out of it. But for now, a quick overview of who won and who lost.
If there’s one thing that the blogging Democrats and their pre-written declarations of an Obama victory in the debate last night proves, it is that BS is a renewable resource. Last night, the left side of the spin floor similarly had nothing but the same tired nonsense we’ve seen this entire cycle.

The Left is going absolutely bonkers over the selection of Sarah Palin to run for Vice-President on the GOP ticket.
There’s also a lot of negative comments coming from the Right, although not quite as emotionally charged as those from the Left.
Christopher Patton of The Podium, aka DI Blog (that is, Daily Iowan, I believe) had [...]

The Republican Protest of the No-Vote Vacation continues today, with no end in sight. CSPAN showed the following press conference (video courtesy John Boehner’s office) featuring House Minority Leader John Boehner (Ohio), Mike Pence (Indiana), and Jon Porter (Nevada). Excellent, concise, brought a solid message back from their constituents, and continuing the push forward. Worth [...]

The downward pressure on the price of oil continues, although not as strong as the past few trading days. At the end of the day, it was $117 (down $.22 from yesterday). Oh, and the Dow was up 40 points.
Meanwhile, Newt Gingrich showed up today at the Capital to show support for the GOP Protest. [...]

…the price of oil that is. Down another few dollars to $117.22. In the last few weeks, the price has dropped $30/bbl, or 20%. I’m convinced it’s because Republicans and the nation’s PEOPLE are up in arms and pressing the majority party to do the right thing… just pressing the case for domestic drilling, in [...]

Not surprisingly, Obama and Clinton are now neck-and-neck, with Obama slightly ahead.
McCain definitely has a commanding lead now, and Huckabee would be doing everyone a favor by dropping out now and bequeathing his delegates to Romney. There’s still a chance for Romney, but Huckabee would have to do the almost impossible… once Romney and McCain [...]
South Carolina has spoken, and Hillary has taken yet another set of lumps. You can see the most current delegate leaderboard (courtesy of MSNBC) in the sidebar.
From Fox News:
Barack Obama crushed top rival Hillary Clinton in the South Carolina Democratic primary Saturday, in a decisive victory that could reinvigorate his campaign after suffering back-to-back [...]
